2018 Class 1A Iowa High School Boys Basketball State Tournament
Here are the 2018 Iowa High School Boys State Basketball Tournament Class 1A pairings and results.
Class 1A quarterfinal games will be played on Monday, March 5. The winners advance to the state semifinals on Wednesday, March 7. The 1A consolation final is set for Thursday, March 8 at 10:30 AM, while the championship game is scheduled for Friday, March 9 at 2:00 PM.
The eight-team field includes two northeast Iowa squads: Don Bosco and Edgewood-Colesburg. Other qualifiers for the 2018 state tournament are: George-Little Rock, Grand View Christian, Lynnville-Sully, North Linn, St. Albert of Council Bluffs and St. Mary's of Remsen.
Grand View Christian is the defending champion and is one of four returning qualifiers. Also back from the 2017 tournament are Lynnville-Sully, North Linn and St. Mary's of Remsen.
Don Bosco is in the field for the third time in program history and is seeking its first state tournament victory. The Dons previously made trips to state in 1987 and 1988. Edgewood-Colesburg is making its state tournament debut.
