For the second-straight week, five teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa are featured in the Iowa high school boys basketball poll.

With a line-up that features three returning starters from last season's state semifinal team, Aplington-Parkersburg has won its four games by an average of 41.5 points. The Falcons are averaging nearly 86 points per game, while allowing 44.
Coach Aaron Thomas' squad moved up one position to replace Western Christian of Hull (3-1), which fell two spots to No. 3 after suffering its first loss of the season.
