Several former prep players and coaches with ties to the Cedar Valley or northeast Iowa are being honored this week at the Iowa High School Boys State Basketball Tournament.

On Friday, 13 men -- eight student-athletes and five coaches -- will enter the IHSAA Hall of Fame. The players will be recognized at halftime of the Class 3A championship game, which begins at 5 PM at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. The coaches will be honored at halftime of the Class 4A title game, which starts at 7:30 PM.

This week's Hall of Fame inductions are for the Class of 2020. Last year's induction ceremonies were canceled due to spectator restrictions at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
