2017 Class 2A Iowa High School Girls Basketball State Tournament
Here are the 2017 Iowa High School Girls State Basketball Tournament Class 2A pairings and results.
Class 2A quarterfinal games will be played on Monday, Feb. 27 and Tuesday, Feb. 28. The winners advance to the state semifinals on Thursday, March 2. The 2A championship game is scheduled for Friday, March 4 at 8:00 p.m.
Teams that qualified for the 2017 state tournament: Cascade, Central Decatur, Iowa City Regina, North Linn, Logan-Magnolia, Treynor, Van Meter and Western Christian.
There will be a new state champion crowned in 2A for the first time since 2014. Two-time defending titlist Unity Christian of Orange City failed to earn a berth in the 2017 tournament. The eight-team field includes only three returning qualifiers: Central Decatur, Iowa City Regina and Western Christian.
