Cedar Falls Police Department Taking Applications for Public Safety Officer

The Cedar Falls Police Department is currently taking applications for Public Safety Officer.

The City of Cedar Falls is seeking qualified candidates to test for the position of Public Safety Officer (PSO). Starting Police Officer pay is $51,064; police academy certified candidates begin at $56,374 (current Public Safety Officer maximum pay is $74,172). Applicants must have two years of post high school education consisting of 60 semester or 90-quarter hours from an accredited college or university. Candidates must also meet the minimum hiring standards of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy.

Testing will be conducted in Cedar Falls on Saturday, December 2, 2017. Applications are due by Wednesday, November 15th.
