Three Injured In Marshalltown Shooting
A Marshalltown man is in jail on three counts of attempted murder and 10 other felony charges following a weekend shooting in the city.
Trevion Hardin, 22, is accused of firing shots that injured three people at an apartment building in the 400 block of Melody Lane. Public safety officials responded to a report of the shooting just before 4 AM Sunday.
According to a news release, three adults suffered gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to the Marshalltown hospital for treatment, then transferred to a medical facility in Des Moines. The extent of their injuries wasn't released.
A short time after the shooting, Marshalltown police took Hardin into custody. In addition to attempted murder, he was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a variety of other charges. They include:
- Willful Injury – Three counts (Class C Felonies)
- Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon – Three Counts (Class C Felonies)
- Reckless Use of a Firearm – Three Counts (Class C Felonies)
- Going Armed with Intent – One Count (Class D Felony)
The shooting remains under investigation by Marshalltown police, who are being assisted by Marshall County sheriff’s officials and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
