Range of Highest Heat Index & Lowest Wind Chill of 2019

This map shows the difference between the highest heat index and lowest wind chill of 2019 through July 24th.

Portions of Iowa had over a 160* range in temperature. Holy crap. On January 30th, Waterloo had a wind chill of -55*. The city sported a heat index of 113* on Friday, July 19th.

The greatest overall range was 180°F at Litchfield, MN.

The lowest range was 34.5°F at Honolulu, HI. Their peak heat index was 95.5°F and lowest temperature was 61°F.
