As COVID-19 cases increase all across the country more and more establishments are requiring their customers to wear masks to try and stop the spread of COVID-19. However one grocery store in Iowa will start handing out free masks to it's shoppers without requiring them to wear them.

According to KWWL, a press release from Hy-Vee has stated that they are starting a new initiative called "Mask It Up To Shut COVID Down. It's Your Choice." What this means is that starting July 27th, employees of Hy-Vee will be standing out front of stores and handing out masks to all. However, this doesn't mean the shoppers are required to wear the masks.

Hy-Vee is requiring all of their employees to wear masks at this time but they are not requiring their shoppers to wear the masks. As the name of the initiative states it is the shopper's choice to wear a mask but a reminder that they could use a mask in the store.
