There is less than one month remaining in the 2018-19 academic year for students attending public schools in Waterloo.

According to Waterloo Community School District officials, the final day of classes for all students will be Friday, June 7. Graduating seniors will end their school year on Thursday, May 23. The last day for pre-school students is scheduled for Thursday, June 6.

Commencement ceremonies have been scheduled for each of the district's three public high schools. Graduation dates and times are as follows:

 

  • EXPO ALTERNATIVE LEARNING CENTER
    Thursday, May 23 - 6 PM at Expo School, 1410 Independence Ave.
  • EAST HIGH SCHOOL
    Friday, May 24 - 6 PM at McLeod Center, University of Northern Iowa Campus in Cedar Falls
  • WEST HIGH SCHOOL
    Tuesday, May 28 - 6 PM at McLeod Center, University of Northern Iowa Campus in Cedar Falls

The commencements will all be rebroadcast on Mediacom Local Access Channel 19.

Copies of each graduation ceremony will be available to purchase for $10 through the district's Education Service Center, School and Community Relations Department. DVD orders must be placed before graduation by calling Linda Armstrong at 433-1804 or emailing her at armstrongl@waterlooschools.org.
