Fire Destroys Garage In Waterloo

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a garage in Waterloo Wednesday evening (Jan. 9, 2019).

Firefighters were called out to battle the blaze at 226 Cottage Grove Ave. around 8:30 PM. The fire gutted the structure, which was detached from the home.

According to Waterloo Fire Rescue officials, the blaze also damaged the back of a recreational vehicle that was parked near the burning garage.

No injuries were reported.
