Early Morning Fire Damages Vacant Waterloo Home

An early morning house fire is under investigation in Waterloo.

Crews were called out to battle the blaze at a vacant home in the 1000 block of Fairview Ave. around 2:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017).

According to Waterloo Fire Rescue officials, the two-story structure was empty when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are trying to the determine the cause of the fire.
