In case you hadn't heard, there is a pretty big football game over in Ames this Saturday. #7 Iowa State hung on to top UNI while Iowa blasted Indiana to set up a matchup so big, that more than just the state of Iowa will be paying attention this weekend! ESPN's College Gameday will be returning to Ames for their second straight Cy-Hawk game!

Yeah, as if Ames isn't crazy enough on game day, I can't imagine how nuts it will be with the Gameday in town for all the Iowa/Iowa State festivities. Iowa Athletic Director Jamie Pollard said in a statement that Gameday's appearance in Ames will be "a tremendous opportunity to showcase Iowa State University, our football program, and fans to a national audience". Pollard also stated how it was a "testament to the incredible job Matt Campbell, his staff and student-athletes are doing on and off the football field".

So just where will Gameday be set up on Saturday? Back in 2019, they put up their set near the south end zone at Jack Trice Stadium. They could return there, or perhaps they could check out the newly completed $90 million project on the north side of the stadium that includes the Albaugh Family Plaza. Athletic Director Pollard said that he could envision something like College Gameday being set up in that new area.

The Cy-Hawk game between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and be televised by ABC.
