A new study from Zippia ranked all 50 states from the most stressed to least stressed.

The rankings are based on six factors that cause major stress: Commute times, unemployment, hours worked, population density, home price to income ratio, and the percent of the population that's uninsured. Certainly, right off the bat you can see where this is going in regards to Iowa, right? We have very little traffic, unemployment is low... etc.

First off, based on all of that, the 10 least stressed states are:

  • Iowa (we're the LEST stressed overall according to the study)
  • North Dakota
  • Minnesota
  • Utah
  • Montana
  • Vermont
  • Wisconsin
  • South Dakota
  • Nebraska
  • Maine

The award for most stressed goes to: Florida, New Jersey, Texas, California, Maryland, Georgia, Delaware, Virginia, Illinois and Mississippi.

So do you agree with the study from Zippia? Are we the most de-stressed states? Those who have never been to Iowa in the winter may not realize how... hard it can be to stay relaxed in Iowa, or the Midwest, in January.
