On Thursday (7/11), Finland was the home to the FIRST-EVER Heavy Metal Knitting World Championship. 

Around 200 people watched the performances, including families with young children and elderly.

Thursday's competition saw participants from nine countries, including the United States, Japan, and Russia.

If you're upset that you missed this amazing event, the organizers announced they would repeat it next summer. Hell. Yes.
