BEHOLD: The Heavy Metal Knitting World Championship [VIDEO]

I guess when you have those long summer nights in those northern latitudes, you run thin on entertainment ideas...

On Thursday (7/11), Finland was the home to the FIRST-EVER Heavy Metal Knitting World Championship. 

Around 200 people watched the performances, including families with young children and elderly.

Thursday's competition saw participants from nine countries, including the United States, Japan, and Russia.

If you're upset that you missed this amazing event, the organizers announced they would repeat it next summer. Hell. Yes.
