An Official Guide to 2022 Iowa Oktoberfest Celebrations [LIST]

Fall is right around the corner, which means so are Oktoberfest celebrations!

In Eastern and Central Iowa, there are quite a few Oktoberfest events happening in 2022. Some of them are set for late September, while others are set for early October. Here are all the festivals we know of right now:

Marion Oktoberfest

• Uptown Marion
• Saturday, September 17th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Featuring 25 breweries, live music, games, competitions, and more
• Ages 21+ only

Dubuque Oktoberfest

• Back Waters Stage at Q Casino
• Saturday, September 17th
• Featuring live music, family activities, food, games, wiener dog races, and more
• Admission is free with a suggested donation to Camp Albrecht Acres

Oktoberfest Des Moines

• Downtown Des Moines
• Friday, September 23rd & Friday, September 24th
• Featuring tented beer gardens, food, live music, competitions, a silent disco, and more
• Ages 21+ only

Iowa Oktoberfest

• Downtown Waterloo
• Friday, September 23rd & Saturday, September 24th
• Featuring a polka party, live entertainment, food, beer, Barktoberfest, competitions, and more
• Admission is free

Adventureland Oktoberfest

• Adventureland in Altoona
• Saturday, September 24th from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Featuring polka music, food, beer, games, contests, rides, live entertainment, and headliners Sister Hazel & The Dan Band
• Ages 21+ only

NewBo City Market Oktoberfest

• NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids
• Wednesday, September 28th through Saturday, October 1st
  • 9/28 - Oktoberfest Dinner from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • 9/29 - Oktoberfest Trivia Night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • 9/30 - Friday Night BINGO from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • 10/1 - Oktoberfest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ottumwa Oktoberfest

• Greater Ottumwa Park in Ottumwa
• Wednesday, September 28th through Saturday, October 1st
• Featuring live music, BINGO, a parade, food, drinks, and more

Amana Oktoberfest

• Amana Colonies
• Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd
• Featuring a food tent, live music, beer, games, a brat eating competition, a parade, and more
• Admission is $10 for a one-day pass and $15 for a two-day pass

Waverly Oktoberfest

• Kohlmann Park
• Friday, October 7th & Saturday, October 8th
• Featuring live music, a beer garden, food, inflatables, competitions, a cornhole tournament, and more

Northside Oktoberfest

• Northside Neighborhood in Iowa City
• Saturday, October 8th
• Featuring Iowa City BrewFest, the Outdoor Bier Hall, entertainment, games, contests, live music, food, and more
