UPDATE: Amber Alert Issued For Waterloo Woman, Baby Canceled
An Amber Alert issued for a woman and child from Waterloo has been cancelled.
"This child is safe", Waterloo Police Chief Dan Trelka posted on his Facebook page Tuesday morning (May 29, 2018).
Police were concerned about the safety of 4-month-old Rashaun Graves, Jr. Authorities issued an Amber Alert around 9:30 AM after an investigation involving the baby's whereabouts revealed the possibility that Sarah Brown, 28, may have abducted the baby.
Authorities believed that Brown may have been on her way to Texas with Graves. According to reports, the woman and child were both found safe at a home on Waterloo's east side.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert concerning a woman and child from Waterloo.
Officials are looking for 4-month-old Rashaun Graves Jr. and Sarah Nagy Brown, 28, who possibly may have abducted the baby.
Waterloo police issued the Amber Alert around 9:30 AM on Tuesday (May 29, 2018).
Authorities believe the woman may be on her way to Texas with the boy. According to the Amber Alert, the woman and child are in a gray 2017 Nissan Sentra, with Oregon license plate number 067JYL.
Graves is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, who has a large dimple on his chin. He stands about 19 to 24 inches tall and weighs around 12 pounds. He was wearing only a diaper.
Brown is a white female who has reddish-blonde hair and blue eyes. She’s about five-feet, one-inch tall and weigh about 150 pounds. Brown was wearing black pants and a blue sports bra.
