Fifth-ranked Wartburg (11-0 overall) will host No. 13 St. John's (MN) (10-1) Saturday, November 29, 2014 at noon in a NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen matchup.

Fifth-ranked Wartburg opened the NCAA Division-III football playoffs with a 37-31 victory over No. 20 St. Thomas (Minnesota) in Waverly today (Saturday, November 22, 2014). The Knights advanced to the second-round, thanks to a defensive stop with 30-seconds remaining in the game.

Wartburg made it a clean sweep as the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced its major awards for the 2014 football season.

The University of Iowa wrestling team opened the 2014-15 season winning 12 individual titles at the Luther Open on Saturday, November 15, 2014. Wartburg and Upper Iowa had a solid day placing several wrestlers into the top six.

It's back-to-back Iowa Conference (IIAC) championships for the Wartburg football team. The Knights claimed the title outright with a dominating, record-setting win that ended their 2014 regular-season on Saturday (November 15th).

The No. 5 (d3football.com) Wartburg Knights grabbed a road win thumping the Simpson Storm, 41-10 on November 8, 2014. Wartburg quarterback Logan Schrader tied a single-game school record for the second time this season.

The Wartburg Knights football team improved their national rankings after a huge win this past Saturday in Storm Lake, IA.  The team's 43-24 win over Buena Vista University helped move the Knights to fifth in both the D3football.com and AFCA polls.

Before the 2014 season began, Wartburg was the unanimous choice to win the Iowa Conference (IIAC) football championship. If the Knights win this weekend, they'll be in good position to defend the conference crown they won in 2013.
