It's back-to-back Iowa Conference (IIAC) championships for the Wartburg football team. The Knights claimed the title outright with a dominating, record-setting win that ended their 2014 regular-season on Saturday (November 15th).

The fifth-ranked Knights capped a perfect 10-0 season with an 81-21 win over Loras during a snowstorm at Walston-Hoover Stadium in Waverly. Wartburg set school records in points and total yards while recording the fourth undefeated regular season in program history.

Running back Brandon Domeyer (Manchester) rushed for four touchdowns and quarterback Logan Schrader (Killdeer, Ill.) threw for three scores in the first half as the Knights built a 56-0 lead at intermission. The 56 points are the most in a half since Wartburg tallied 49 in a 73-0 win over McMurray (Illinois) in the 2012 season-opener, also the previous high for points in a game.

Saturday marked the eighth time the Knights have scored at least 40 points this season. In 10 games, they've tallied an all-time high 453 points. The old school mark was 449 set in 1994.

Wartburg established another school record by rolling up 674 total yards (447 rushing, 227 passing) against the Duhawks. The previous standard was 663 in a 1991 game against William Penn.

The Iowa Conference championship is the 11th for Wartburg in program history and eighth under Head Coach Rick Willis.

Wartburg earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III playoffs with a 41-10 win at Simpson on November 8th. The Knights will learn their playoff opponent and game site on Sunday at 5 p.m.
