Woman Sentenced To 10 Years For Meth
A Northeast Iowa woman has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on illegal drug charges.
According to Chickasaw County Sheriff's Officials, Anna Schmitz, 43, of Ionia, appeared in Chickasaw County District Court and entered a plea of guilty to the charge of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to deliver.
Schmitz was also sentenced to a 10-year and 5-year prison term in Hancock County District Court. Her sentence in Chickasaw County will run consecutively with the Hancock County term.
Schmitz was then transported to the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women in Mitchellville.
