First of all....Easter 2019 (4/21) in Waterloo featured sunshine and a high temp of 86*. We'll be lucky if we get HALF of that temperature on Easter Sunday 2020.

But don't go hoppin' into hibernation just yet, the National Weather Service in Des Moines says that 'most' of the snow will fall to the North and West of Black Hawk County, but there is still a chance of getting some Easter Snow.

The NWS says that Easter Sunday could feature thunderstorms during the day, then temps will fall, which could lead to S-N-O-W during the nighttime hours.

As of Friday night, 26 counties in Northwest Iowa are in a Winter Storm Watch. The area between Sioux City and Mason City could get 6-8" of snow. Ouch.

The first half of April has had its fair share of snowstorms in Iowa. April 8-10 was when the "Blizzard of 1973" hit Iowa, where some places saw 20" of snow. (Waterloo recorded 10.3")

and then comes the cold...
