Foo Fighters? The Verve Pipe? Green Day?

Late 90's music really doesn't have a home. It's clear that 80's hair metal bands are in the Classic Rock genre but the late 90's hasn't been considered class rock even though it's been 20 years since these songs were released. But 2020 will make 1990 thirty years ago.

There's a meme going around the internet that says that "when I think of 30 years ago, I still think of the 70's." When people think classic rock, the genre is 60's, 70's, and 80's. But the 90's is in a limbo area of rock n roll. It's not really classic rock and it can't be considered new rock.

There are great songs that have come out of the 90's decade that should be considered classic rock. Buzzfeed did 37 songs from the 1997 and some them could and should be on classic rock radio.
