The date is set! Let's get ready to bike! Or in my case, order an Uber and drive behind the bikers shouting words of encouragement...

Last year RAGBRAI, or the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, was unfortunately put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was the first time since 1973 that bikers would not make this trek. As it stands now though, it looks like all things are a go!

Officials for RAGBRAI released the highly coveted information about when this ride will take place.

The 48th RAGBRAI will take place from July 25th to the 31st this summer. Officials for the 426-mile-ling ride are working with the local towns to make sure that everyone can safely enjoy RAGBRAI this year. There is currently a COVID-19 mitigation strategy in the works for everyone involved in the event.

Along with the official date for the kickoff, there are other useful resources.  You can check out the official bike route and schedule here on the RAGBRAI website. These bikers will be passing through a few different towns in Iowa. Is yours one of them?

RAGBRAI Route 2021

Registration for riders interested in RAGBRAI will close April 1st, 2021. There is now an official Q+A page for anyone who needs more information about the COVID protocols and measures that the organization is taking.
