Buchanan County officials have filed numerous drug charges against two women who were arrested during a recent traffic stop.

The incident happened shortly after 5:30 AM on Friday (Jan. 25, 2019). Sheriff's deputies pulled over a car on the southeast side of Independence.

Authorities identified the driver was Micki Loeb, 20, of Garrison. Her passenger was Kassandra Hare, 19, of Independence.

Records show Loeb was charged with first-offense operating while intoxicated, possession/carrying weapons while intoxicated, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – marijuana, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – synthetic cannabinoid and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charges against Hare included: possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – marijuana, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver – synthetic cannabinoid, drug tax stamp violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Loeb and Hare were both taken to the Buchanan County Jail in Independence.
