An inflatable drive-in theater screen is now up and ready to go at the National Cattle Congress. The very first show was scheduled for June 26th, but due to severe weather in the forecast during that weekend, the premiere was pushed to July 2nd.
The month of June saw this vehicle make its way through Iowa. Recently it's been spotted in Clear Lake, according to local Jeff Robak. He spotted the vehicle earlier in the week, and according to other witnesses it has also been spotted in Forest City.
We might be getting a drive-in movie theater after all. As previously reported this project was in the works, but now after the Waterloo Board of Adjustment's meeting on Tuesday April 27th, a special permit has been granted.
The permit issued by the board will allow for this operation to take place until December 31st, 2024. Depending on the success of the theater, it could be around for a lot longer.
