Looks like it's time for a road trip!

Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant is making a tour stop in Clear Lake. He's bringing his band "The Sensational Space Shifters," to the Surf Ballroom on Monday, September 23rd.

Tickets for the Robert Plant show will go on sale this Friday, May 10th at 8 a.m. Prices are $65 in advance at $70 at the door. Be sure to log on early, these tickets will go fast! Check out this link for all of the info.

It's pretty cool that Plant's only 2019 Iowa appearance is at such an iconic venue. The Surf Ballroom is associated with the event known as "The Day the Music Died." Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson gave their last performances at the Surf on February 2, 1959. Their plane crashed shortly after takeoff in a cornfield not far from the venue.

I really hope I can score a ticket to this show. I saw Plant about ten years ago in Minneapolis and it was an awesome show. And I love that he's playing the Surf Ballroom. That venue has so much history and the acoustics are killer!
