Pioneer Days Festival Kicks Off This Week In Clarksville
The annual Pioneer Days Festival will be held in Clarksville this week, starting Thursday and continuing through Saturday (June 9-11, 2016). All three days will feature carnival midway rides, food, bingo, a quilt show, kids activities, a flea market, and a beverage garden serving beer and bratwurst.
The free live music lineup for all three days includes Polka music with Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen on Thursday, starting at 7:00 p.m. You are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs.
Friday night is classic rock with Standing Hampton starting at 9 o'clock.
Saturday will include two bands. Route 66 will be on stage at 3 p.m. playing a variety of music, including oldies, classic country and some bluegrass.
Wrapping up the festival on Saturday will be the country band 8 Seconds, starting at 9 p.m. All performances are on the Firemen’s Stage.
Other highlights include:
- The grand parade on Saturday at 2 p.m.
- A spelling bee for all ages on Friday at 3 p.m.
- A pork BBQ on Friday at 5 p.m.
- A bean bag tournament on Saturday at 4 p.m.
