The Oskaloosa softball season is officially on hold as officials are waiting for test results after possible COVID-19 exposure, according to The Oskaloosa Harold. Oskaloosa is ranked 10 in 4A softball sporting a record of 12-9. They were scheduled to travel to Washington Iowa for a doubleheader today, July 14. They were also suppose to host a regional playoff game Saturday evening.

This news comes as more and more high school baseball and softball teams deal with positive, or pending COVID tests. The Des Moines Register reports both Bishop Heelan (Sioux City) baseball and softball both had positive tests. As a result, the softball team is done for the season while the baseball can keep playing.

Cases nationwide have been increasing drastically, and here at home, Governor Kim Reynolds is encouraging Iowans to 'step it up' to slow and prevent additional cases. She stated this in a YouTube address to citizens. Iowans we recently added to Pennsylvania's quarantine travel list.
