Motorcycle Collides With Truck, Killing Greeley Man

A Greeley man died in a traffic accident in his Delaware County hometown on Wednesday (July 18, 2018).

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, the mishap occurred just before 7 AM at the intersection of Moody St. (Iowa Highway 58) and Jet Road in Greeley.

Troopers said Benjamin Malone, 24, was driving his motorcycle west on Moody St., when he attempted a left turn onto Jet Road. His cycle collided head-on with a truck driven by Stephen Lutz, 64, of Elkader, that was just entering the city.

Malone was taken to the Manchester hospital, where he died from his injuries.
