Manchester Man Dies In Delaware County Crash

A Manchester man died in a two-vehicle accident in rural Delaware County Tuesday morning (Aug. 7, 2018).

The Iowa State Patrol identified the victim as James Koopman, 51. Authorities said Koopman was driving a pick-up and failed to stop for a stop sign. His vehicle collided with a northbound truck, driven by Russ Kuhlman, 32, of Earlville.

A crash report does not indicate if Kuhlman was hurt in the crash.

The mishap occurred around 11:15 AM at the intersection of 255th St. and 190th Ave. near Ryan.

The accident remains under investigation.
