Man Cuts off Nose of Sawfish

A Florida man is in big trouble for what he did to an endangered fish. 

The Feds say the guy is facing a year in prison and a $50,000 fine when he is sentenced for killing a sawfish, which is listed as an endangered species.

The sawfish are only found in the southeastern U.S., primarily off the southwest coast of Florida. 

They are generally harmless to humans, although, if threatened, they'll mess you up with their saw-like noses. Some grow as large as 17-feet.

Prosecutors say this man removed the extended nose of a sawfish last year using a power saw.
