
Man Charged with Felony For Hitting a Child with a Paddle
A Fayette County man has been arrested on charges that he struck and injured a young child with a wooden paddle over the weekend.
The alleged incident happened Saturday at a rural Fayette residence. Johnathan Marmann, 25, of Fayette, is accused of striking a three-year-old child with a wooden paddle, causing some bruising.
Sheriff's officials said the assault happened at Marmann's home. Deputies arrested Marmann Monday on a charge of child endangerment causing injury, a Class "D" Felony.
Marmann was being held in the Fayette County Jail until his initial court appearance.
