Iowa's Luka Garza did not score in the second half of Sunday's game at Northwestern. That line alone might make your concerned about how the Hawkeyes faired on the road. Fear not. This is one deep Iowa team as they proved once again as they topped the Wildcats 96-73.

Garza had 17 points at halftime, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, and could of gotten more if he needed to. But he didn't. The 5th ranked Hawkeyes had four other players score at least 11 points in the win. Iowa shot nearly 58% from the field. The passing was top notch too, as seven Iowa players had at least 2 assists. And the three pointers you ask? Jordan Bohannon, Joe Wieskamp, and CJ Fredrick combined to hit 8 of 14 from downtown.

Rebounding was another Iowa strength. They had 40 to Northwestern's 27. Garza led the way with 10 rebounds on the night. The All American scored 17 in the first half, and none in the second. He sat for good with just under 12 minutes remaining in the game. The bench came through too. Jack Nunge had 12 points, and Keegan Murray was all over the court, with eight points, seven boards, and two blocked shots.

Iowa improves to 6-1 in the Big Ten, tied with Michigan for first place in the conference. The Hawkeyes are set to host Indiana in Iowa City on Thursday night at 8 p.m., but the Hawkeyes did see another conference game get postponed. Iowa was supposed to host Nebraska this coming Sunday. That game has been postponed due to COVID cases within the Nebraska program.
