Iowa is Home to a Holiday-Themed Haunted House
The Halloween season has been over for weeks, but if you just can't let it go, there is a way to mix a little Halloween into your Christmas!
Thanks to a new article from Only in Your State, we got word of a Christmas-themed haunted house here in Iowa. For one night only, The Slaughterhouse in Des Moines will transform into 'Krampus.'
According to the official website, The Slaughterhouse is welcoming ages 6 and up to "Jingle Hell" with Krampus and his gang of "H'elves." The page reads:
"The Christmas Beast has chewed through the power lines, so this event will be a BLACKOUT show, meaning all the lights in the attraction will be off. Your group of courageous visitors will receive red Rudolph Glow Necklaces to help you navigate through our subterranean lair."
The Krampus haunted holiday experience is set for Saturday, December 17th, with sessions beginning every 15 minutes between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. It costs $30 per person, and guests will get to meet Krampus and take photos with his "Holiday Ghouls." The website says that tickets will sell out, so guarantee a spot by purchasing yours online in advance HERE.
The Slaughterhouse is located at 500 Locust Street in Des Moines and just wrapped up its 10th Halloween season. The haunt's Facebook page says that it was their "greatest yet," and reviews praise the business for having great actors and being kid-friendly. You can read more about the haunted attraction and its history on the official website HERE.
