Iowa High School Baseball Game Canceled Mid-Game Due to COVID-19
An Iowa high school baseball game was stopped mid-game due to possible COVID-19 exposure involving a person or persons associated with one of the teams. The game was being played in Cedar Rapids.
As seen on its Twitter, the Western Dubuque Bobcats baseball team said that it was forced to end a game during the third inning due to COVID-19. The post said that the team was awaiting test results after potential exposure. KCRG reports Western Dubuque was playing Cedar Rapids Washington High School and the Bobcats were leading in game 6-1.
As a result of the stoppage and possible coronavirus exposure, all of the Bobcats will have to self isolate for two weeks and therefore they will not be able to play in any upcoming games. No additional information was made available.
