Iowa Bars Most Played Songs Of 2018
With a new year upon us, it's impossible not to find 'Best of' or 'Top this/that' lists for 2018 as they slowly trickle out (hey, think of how many decade ending ones we will see in 2020). Well here's another one for you, but a fun one: The Top Songs Iowans LOVED Playing in Bars in 2018. This list was put out by The Des Monies Register. To figure it out, they sampled digital jukebox company TouchTunes, which are in tons of bars all over the state (and country). What did we learn? Iowan's freakin' LOVE their country music!
Here's the TOP 10:
- Chris Stapleton "Tennessee Whiskey"
- Steve Earle "Copperhead Road"
- Garth Brooks "Friends In Low Places"
- Queen "Fat Bottomed Girls" (Makes perfect sense with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' coming out this year)
- Journey "Don't Stop Believin'"
- Jon Pardi "Dirt On My Boots"
- Midland "Drinkin' Problem"
- Bebe Rexha "Meant To Be (with Florida Georgia Line)"
- Sam Hunt "Body Like A Back Road"
- Eric Church "Smoke A Little Smoke"
And there you have it. Of the top 10 songs, the only non-country hit was the Queen track, and of course the bar staple from Journey. What will 2019 offer? My guess is, much the same!
