An Iowa resident claims half of the prize.

It has been confirmed that there have been two winners of Saturdays drawing. The 2 winners, one from central Iowa and the other from New York, matched all 6 numbers that were 13, 12, 8, 27, 9, and the Powerball was the number 4. The winners will split a jackpot of $688.8 million. So both will take home $344 million before taxes.

The federal government withholds 24% of the winnings for taxes and Iowa state tax will withhold and additional 8.5%. But the good news is that this was the 3rd biggest jackpot in Powerball history.

In the history of the Powerball, an Iowa resident has won the Powerball jackpot nine times. The winning ticket for Saturday's drawing was sold a ta convenience store in Redfield.
