It's kind of hard to fathom just how big of a number 1 billion is. There are about 22 million millionaires who live in the United States, according to Zippia. Becoming a millionaire is a pretty massive financial goal for a lot of people and it's a huge achievement but to become a billionaire is a completely different ballgame.

According to Wise Voter, there are 735 billionaires in the United States and only 1 in the state of Iowa, according to Carrolspaper. It's possible someone from Iowa could be added to that list if they can get extremely lucky in the lottery. If you've never seen this video, check out how big of a difference there is between $ 1 million and $ 1 billion. It's pretty crazy to see it laid out like this.

If you wanted to count to 1 million, it would take around 11 and a half days to get there. If you wanted to count to 1 billion...it would take 31 and a half years, according to Career Alert. It kind of makes you wonder what all of these billionaires are going to do with their money when they are no long around.

According to CBS2 Iowa, the Mega MIllion with Megaplier has reached $1.05 billion annuity or a 527.9 million cash option for the game's drawing on August 1st. This jackpot has tied for the fourth-largest prize in the history of the Mega Millions and will be considered the 7th largest U.S. lottery jackpot.

This jackpot has been growing for more than three months and the last time it was won was back on April 18. According to CBS2 Iowa, the game's drawing will take place on Tuesday at 10 p.m. If no one has won the jackpot on Tuesday, the next drawing will be on Friday.

The Mega Million costs $2 to play and $3 with the megaplier option. I know what I'm spending my next 3 bucks on.
