No one likes a hangover and what is even worse is having to go to work with a hangover. Now most people would say be responsible and don't drink too much the night before work, but when Oktoberfest shows up, what are you supposed to do? Isn't it a weekend of drinking? What are you supposed to do going to work the next Monday? Why can't hangovers count as illness? Well, they can if you are in Germany.

A German court in Frankfurt has recently ruled on a case that hangovers are to be considered an "illness" and can be used for "sick days" at work. An "illness" is defined as "even small or temporary disruptions to the normal state or normal activity of the body" which would include hangovers. So, I guess the next time you are hungover in Germany tell your bosses you are taking a sick day and if they have a problem with it you can tell them the court said you could. Basically, use the "mom" card.

Now if only we could find a way to get the U.S. government to approve this..... haha right...
