Final Night Of Waterloo Summer Concert Series Canceled

Organizers of Friday Loo were hoping to celebrate the start of Labor Day weekend with one final summer event at Lincoln Park in Waterloo this week. Unfortunately, Mother Nature has interrupted those plans.
Tonight's Friday Loo event has been canceled due to rainy weather.
“The Friday Loo team is disappointed to have to make the decision to cancel the final Friday Loo of the season," Jessica Rucker, executive director of Main Street Waterloo, said in a press release. "We had a great summer with fantastic music, food and fun and are looking forward to 2022.”
For more than 20 years, Friday Loo has been the most well-known event hosted by Main Street Waterloo. Usually held every other week from 5:30 to 9:30 PM, the summer concert series has become a popular gathering spots for class reunions, birthdays and family reunions.
Local vendors typically have the best food available in the Cedar Valley at each Friday Loo event.
Organizers are already making plans for next year's events. In the press release, Rucker said upcoming announcements about 2022 dates would be made on the Friday Loo Facebook page.
Jameson's Pubic House, 310 East 4th Street, was planning to sponsor tonight's Friday Loo event. To fill the gap left by the cancelation, Jamison's is hosting a musical happy hour with Zoot and Newt from 4 to 6 PM.
