
Elgin Driver Gets Wild Ride Thanks to the Weather
The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a weather-related accident that happened south of Arlington.
At about 6pm February 8th, the sheriff received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Eisenhower Road. The responding deputies determined that a car driven by 26 year old
Tyler Mittelsted of Elgin, went out of control, into a ditch, then ramped up a driveway before coming to a stop. No one was injured, but there was $4,000 in damages to the 2009 Chevy Impala.
Fayette County deputies were called out to a traffic accident involving a deer early Monday morning. It happened on Highway 93, east of Sumner. A pickup driven by 60 year old Charles Sawyer of Lawler struck the animal as it entered the roadway. No one was hurt, but the 2004 Chevy Colorado sustained $1,500 in damages.
