Elvira

The name of this haunted car is Elvira, and it's located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. You won't believe the dark history this car has, but what is even crazier, is that the car can now be rented on an hourly basis!

After reading about all the deaths that took place in this car, I would not take my chances riding in this death machine...

The Dark History - Ambulance

Elvira is a 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Series Medic 1 Rescuer Ambulance. Her original home was in Connecticut, at the Norwich State Hospital. She was used as the hospital’s primary ambulance.

Now it is starting to make sense why there were so many deaths within the car, but that's not the only weird thing about this car's past.

During Elvira's life as an ambulance, hundreds of people died within her interior. Even paramedic John P. Anderson died in the car. He was found hunched over the steering wheel from a massive heart attack.

The Dark History - Clown Car

After years of being an ambulance, Elvira moved on to be a clown car, where another tragic death happened in her seats. A young boy’s dying wish was to ride in the clown car for a parade. While riding in the car, the young boy died peacefully with a smile on his face.

The Dark History - Newest Owners

Next, Elvira was owned by a couple in Michigan. Finally, she ended up being purchased by Shamrock Limousine of Council Bluffs in 2008, however, they were not aware of this car's dark history.

While the company was restoring the car they noticed strange occurrences. Doors opening on their own, strange noises, objects left on the car being thrown off, cold spots shadows, and the feeling of being watched would occur.

The newest owners did not know of Elvira's past but were curious about the strange occurrences. They decided to dig into the car's history. They found that a total of 496 documented deaths had happened inside the car! This included mass murderer inmate John Franklin. They started to wonder if some of those souls were causing the strange happenings.

Fly By Night (FBN), a paranormal investigative crew inspected the car, and sure enough, they deemed Elvira as haunted.

The investigators discovered that the paramedic who died in the car when it was an ambulance watches over the other spirits and protects them until they can peacefully pass to the other side.

Here is a YouTube video about Elvira's life.
