Hoping to get tickets to see the Chicago Cubs take on the Cincinnati Reds this summer at the Field of Dreams? Get moving... you don't have a lot of time.

The second Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville, Iowa will take place on Thursday, August 11. Registration for tickets to the game, which is guaranteed to be another sellout will continue for only a week. It ends next Thursday, June 9.

If you'd like to go to the game, are at least 18, and live in Iowa, you can sign up to buy tickets HERE. I repeat, you must have an Iowa zip code for this "ticket purchase opportunity". If you're chosen for the opportunity to buy tickets, you'll be contacted on Wednesday, June 15... the day after the drawing takes place. If you're one of the lucky names pulled, you can purchase two tickets and a parking pass to the game.

If you get the chance, you'll be one of approximately 8,000 fans who will be able to attend the second Field of Dreams Major League Baseball game. This year's game will have a hard time equaling the excitement of the first. The Chicago White Sox defeated the New York Yankees 9-8 last year when White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson hit a walk-off, 2-run home run in the bottom of the 9th. It doesn't get much better than this... unless you're a Yankees fan.

The Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field, known for the ivy on the outfield wall. Can they repeat the Chicago magic of the White Sox in Dyersville this August, playing in the middle of a cornfield? A select few will find out at the stadium, while most of us watch the game on Fox-TV.

The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Quad Cities River Bandits will also play on the Field of Dreams. That game is on Tuesday, August 9. The Kernels will be the Bunnies, their team name from 1904 to 1932 for that game. The River Bandits will be the Blue Sox, the name of their franchise from 1913 to 1916 and again from 1929 to 1937. Ticket information for that contest still hasn't been released.
