Chase Ends With Two Arrested In Waterloo

Two people were taken to jail following a high-speed chase in Waterloo early Friday.

Dayln Culp, 18, was arrested on charges of intimidation with a weapon, carrying weapons and third-degree theft. Tashieyana O’Neal, 23, was booked on a charge of eluding.

Police were dispatched to a home at 1206 Columbia Street around 12:45 AM on a report of shots fired. According to police, a vehicle was spotted leaving the scene at a high-rate of speed. Officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver led officers on a short pursuit before stopping.

Authorities said a stolen handgun was recovered from the vehicle and they arrested two of the three occupants inside.

The case remains under investigation.
