Authorities have raided a Fayette County business, accused of illegally selling marijuana-derived products.

On Wednesday, sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant at T's Brick City Spa in Clermont. The business is owned by Tanya Tysland.

The search was ordered after authorities received complaints that the business was actively selling CBD oil and CBD edible candy. CBD is prescribed to patients in Iowa with serious illnesses, and the state regulates its use. Also, the drug is illegal to possess without a medical marijuana card, and is legally distributed at five locations in the state.

Marijuana or hemp that can be inhaled or ingested is also illegal in Iowa.

Officers confiscated items from T's Brick City Spa, and the business was given notice to cease and desist the sale of the marijuana-based products.

Area residents who have already purchased the substance from the Clermont business, are encouraged to turn the products over to Fayette County sheriff's officials.

The case remains under investigation.
