It was the Big Ten versus NAIA on Monday night in Iowa City. But as far as exhibition games go, Iowa basketball fans had plenty to wonder about. How would all the new faces on this Iowa team look? And how many minutes would senior guard Jordan Bohannon get coming off of hip surgery in May?

Bohannon did play Monday night, although he did not start. He rode a stationary bike to keep warm and loose until his time came. He sank his first shot, a three of course. He finished the game 1 for 3 with two assists. But the important thing was he finished the game. It remains to be seen whether Bohannon will give it a go this year. He can play up to 30% of his team's games this season and still redshirt and come back next season.

The newcomers looked good for Iowa last night too. Guard CJ Fredrick scored 18 points and made it look easy. He was 6 of 7 from the field, 4 for 5 from three-point range. Freshman forward Patrick McCaffery had 12 points and 3 dunks. Freshman point guard Joe Toussaint had 5 points and 7 rebounds.

Joe Weiskamp led the way for Iowa with 19 points. Jack Nunge added 11 points and 6 rebounds while Luka Garza had 16 points in 17 minutes.
