Black Hawk County Conservation officials have closed all park facilities until further notice in an attempt to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus.

According to a press release, all parks will remain open for day use only. Camping will not be allowed. Facility reservations have been suspended until further notice.

Black Hawk County Conservation officials expressed confidence that their decisions were made in the best interest of public and staff safety. They plan to continue assessing the situation and adjust as necessary. Updates will be posted on Facebook and at
