Fayette County Man Arrested On Federal Firearms Warrant
A Northeast Iowa man has been taken into custody on a federal warrant.
Fayette County sheriff's officials arrested Mark Opperman, 42, of Hawkeye, shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 11, 2018). Opperman was wanted on a United States Warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Opperman was being held in the Fayette County jail without bond, pending his appearance in federal court.
West Union police assisted Fayette County sheriff deputies in the arrest.
