You thought your child was adventurous? This 9-year-old boy slipped out of the house, took a trip to the airport, passed through security, snuck onto a plane, and flew almost 2,000 miles across the country alone.

Sounds like a movie doesn't it? A smart and curious kid decides to take a mini-vacation to a new city without getting caught.

On Saturday morning, Brazilian Boy Emanuel Marques de Oliveira from the city of Manaus Brazil was reported missing by his parents.

Daniele Marques, the boy's mother, told authorities that Emanuel was asleep in bed early Saturday morning when she checked on him. A few hours later when she revisited his room, he was gone.

The mother told NewsFlash, “I woke up at 5:30 a.m., went to his room, and saw that he was sleeping normally...Then I fiddled with my mobile phone a little and got up again, at 7:30 a.m., and that is when I realized that he was no longer in his bedroom and I started to panic.” (New York Post)

The young boy had snuck out of the house early in the morning, made his way to a nearby airport, and was somehow able to hop on a flight without a boarding pass.

Emanuel Marques de Oliveira traveled 1,677 miles on a flight from Manaus (northwest of Brazil) to the city of Guarulhos (southeast of Sao Paulo).

The 9-year-olds intention was to visit some family members that lived far away. Local Media reported that Emanuel googled "how to get on a plane unnoticed."

(I don't know what article that kid read, but obviously, it gave him some great advice.)

After several hours of worrying, his mother soon discovered that her child was safe on the other side of the country. The young boy was later reunited with his family.

Police are currently investigating how this boy managed to bypass security and board a plane with no documents or luggage.

This story is similar to another incident that happened back in 2013. A 9-year-old boy slipped out of the house, took a light rail transit to the airport, passed through security, snuck onto a plane, and flew from Minneapolis to Las Vegas (1,700 miles) alone WITHOUT a boarding pass. NBC News
