Woman Stabbed Cousin When He Asked Her To Return The Sex Toy She Borrowed
A Kentucky woman is awaiting trial after a dispute with her neighbor, who is also her cousin, that ended in her stabbing the man.
Police say Crystal Denham is being charged with second-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct, menacing, and resisting arrest.
The arrest citation reads that officers were dispatched to Mitchell Hill Road in Corbin, Kentucky on October 23rd to reports of a stabbing that had taken place.
Denham had called 911 to report that she had stabbed her cousin. When officers arrived, she was out on her porch, sweeping it.
Officers spoke with Denham, and she told them her cousin who lives next door, Michael Barton, had come to her home to request the return of a sex toy she had borrowed from him.
The two got into an argument over the undescribed sex toy, and she told him to get off of her property. He grabbed her by the elbow, and she used a kitchen knife to stab him.
Barton's injuries were considered minor, and he refused medical treatment. He told the officer Denham started "acting crazy" and stabbed him when he tried to leave.
Denham was told she was being placed under arrest, which she responded well to.
The affidavit says she began to yell she wasn't going to jail. The officer pulled out a taser to bring the situation under control, to which Denham "formed a fist with each of her hands, bladed her body in a fighting stance, swelled her chest out, and began approaching" the officer.
The officer sidestepped her, took her down, and placed the cuffs on her.
Denham is awaiting trial.
