Woman Sets Car on Fire Trying to Kill Bed Bugs
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office probably lost faith in humanity this weekend after a woman set her car on fire after discovering bed bugs.
Deputies were called to a vehicle fire near Perry Street in Pontiac, Michigan around 1:40pm on Tuesday to help the Waterford Fire Department.
The Sheriff's Office says the owner of the car, a 31-year-old female, discovered bed bugs in her vehicle, and decided on killing them.
Her plan was to pour a little rubbing alcohol inside the vehicle and light it on fire.
When attempting to follow through with her plan, she accidentally set herself on fire, which resulted in second-degree burns.
The woman was taken to McLaren Oakland Hospital for treatment of the injuries she sustained.
